German
is taught at Stawell Secondary College from year 7 to 12.
It is compulsory
in Year7 and an elective subject from years 8 to 12.
Since 1989 over
60 students have participated in a 10-week exchange program
with German through the Bayrischer Jugendring (BJR) and
Association of German Teachers in Victoria (AGTV)

The school also
has a small number of Chinese students who study Chinese
as a first language.
