SPORT

Sport plays a very important role in the college curriculum and many students gain significant satisfaction and success in this area. The sport curriculum covers a broad area ranging from the traditional House sports of swimming, athletics and cross country through to sports such as football, netball, table tennis, tennis, triathlons, claybird, cricket, golf and many others. All students have the opportunity to pursue their sporting abilities to the highest level. Students commence at school level with House Sports and lunchtime activities. Students who are success at school level progress on to Wimmera level and in turn Western Zone level followed by State level. All school sports are conducted under the guidance of the Victorian Secondary School Sports Association. Mr. Hart is the Sports Coordinator and the House Managers and many other staff who volunteer their time to coach and organize teams ably support him.
The House Sports program consists of three Houses named Mitchell (Yellow), Griffiths (Red) and McLachlan (Blue). All students have been placed in a house to participate in the Swimming, Athletic and Cross Country Carnivals. Each House, under the guidance of their House Manager elects age group captains.
