The focus of the Careers Department is to increase individual awareness of the wide range of learning and personal development activities and programs available to young people.

Each student is encouraged to show initiative and use the resources available through the Careers Department to investigate what interests them.

“CareerNews” is published fortnightly by the Careers Department to inform students about the many worthwhile and beneficial opportunities available to them throughout the year.

Course Selection

The Careers Department assists students to research their full range of learning options. Students choose to enrol in the courses or enhancement programs that meet their individual needs and provide a pathway to their preferred further learning, training and career direction. The main options include VCE, VCAL, VET programs, and SBNA programs.

A Flowchart illustrates how these programs complement individual pathways.

Work Experience

The Work Experience program is coordinated through the Careers Department to provide specific workplace and career investigation opportunities for students 15 years or older.

The senior years are all about making choices and achieving results. The Careers Department is available to help students to choose career paths and life directions for themselves. The aim is to make choices that will deliver the best results, not just in terms of ENTER scores and marks, but for their life direction and personal goals
